Garden Themed Picnic Blanket – Table Cover

Garden Themed Quilt - Lap Quilt, Table Topper, or Picnic BlanketThis lovely handcrafted garden inspired quilt is a one of kind design!  The fabric in this project was made from scraps that were left over from 2 different quilt projects.  Each square is a different pattern that I made up as I went along.  Using scraps is a great way to play with design and color combinations.

The sashing is black corduroy, which adds strength and durability!
The backing fabric is a lovely variegated dark green and black.
100% high quality cotton fabrics were used. It has been machine quilted with a long-arm machine and has a cloud motif. The binding is hand finished with the same matching fabric.

I have joined in on a fun blog activity called a “link-up” party.  Below is a list of sites I have linked this post to.  Please take a moment to view what others are sharing.  It is always fun to check out what others have brought to the party.

To sit in the shade on a fine day and look upon the verdant green hills is the most perfect refreshment.

  5. Thank you for linking up your gorgeous quilt over on my It’s A Saturday Sharing Day linky party. If you wouldn’t mind add a little blurb about the linky party along with the link as I almost overlooked it with it being at the very bottom below the photo of the plant and nowhere near the post. That way your friends and readers have a better chance of seeing it and they can come and link up too.

    Thanks so much.
